Put It In The Universe

Updated: Oct 10, 2023

We kicked off 2020 and the new decade with an immersive experiential event where guests were invited to “Put It In The Universe & Set Their Intentions For The Next Decade”. Our co-hosts at the event were BML-Blackbird and the founder and creative director at Chandelier Events, Amy Shey Jacobs

If you want something, you have to put it out into the universe and it will, just like stating it, help clear a path and attract people that will help you achieve it.

Collaboration & Partnership What we put out, we attract & ways to set yourself up for success-- share your intention with a friend.  In the rules of the universe, sharing what you want with someone else will keep you focused, encourage you to become extra clear on your ambitions, and hold you accountable to your goals no matter the time frame.  We are so thankful for the incredible vendors who shared their time and services to make this event so incredibly special. We have credited our vendors below with links to their websites. Check them out and use them for your next event!

In a glam-meets-other worldly environment, the experience unfolded as such:

Guests received a digital invite designed by Suite Paperie featuring the details for the evening.

Upon arrival, guests checked in with the team from Check In Tech and Sheehan & Sons Security and snapped photos at the step and repeat designed by Suite Paperie and Bombshell Graphics who provided event branding and sponsor signage for the evening.

The Be Time Meditation Bus offered pop up meditations for guests throughout the night curbside.

On the main floor of the venue, guests were greeted by a stunning greenery and light installation by By Yena Designs and BML Blackbird set over our communal space which turned into a dance floor. Live music was provided by The Eleven Band

The main floor of the space was divided into four quadrants dedicated to fire, air, earth, and water. On the gallery floor, guests enjoyed a Salt Room and Zen Den. Within each area, guests partook in multi-sensory immersive experiences.

AIR: Creative Edge Parties took guests to the skies with a “Head in the Clouds” culinary activation: guests chose canapés in crystal orbs while the catering lab guided them through an aromatic edible perfume experience designed to enhance the flavor profiles while delivering wellness. Chandelier Events worked with BML Blackbird to design digital wallpaper for the environment with moving clouds on a life-sized LED wall; they also suspended “birds” in the form of aerialists pouring prosecco from the skies with the help of Cirque Central, among floral clouds constructed By Yena Designs, and lucite furniture from Greenroom Event Rentals. Guests also got to interact with a wing wall constructed by Two Point 8 Imaging and The Factory NYC with art by Suite Paperie. Cloud-enhanced signage was provided by Bombshell Graphics. Studio Z Photobooths offered a weightless selfie ball experience.

FIRE: Thomas Preti Events to Savor brought the heat by torching and smoking marinated shrimp and cauliflower in a live display centered amongst floral fire pits and a setting sun. To bring more spice, servers passed Fireball Pate De Fruit to guests who joined the red hot vignette. Something Different Party Rentals provided catering rentals throughout.

EARTH: Guests traveled next to the grounded corner of the room, where Chandelier Events concepted a living park photo experience. Working with The Factory NYC, Two Point 8 Imaging, By Yena Designs and Studio Z Photobooths, guests enjoyed standing on a grassy slope set with magnificent live florals for stills, gifs and boomerangs! Also in Earth: an incredible Vegetable Carvery Experience by Great Performances with Brussels sprout trees, a live chef carving of gorgeous vegetables and artisanal sauces, all completely compostable. Throughout the night servers carried edible gardens (complete with edible dirt) to and from the Earth vignette with parades of beautiful birch tree trays designed to make passing an experience.

WATER: As guests moved through floating florals By Yena Designs and curved benches from Greenroom Event Rentals, all curated by Chandelier Events to look like an aquatic playground, BML Blackbird created a moving maritime light experience. Sterling Affair took guests on a hydrating culinary excursion with mini poké bowls and “caviar” created with molecular gastronomy. For dessert, they introduced Swedish Fish Spiked Popsicles.

The main bar featured cocktails mixed per zodiac sign with a celestial bar brought to life by Suite Paperie, Two Point 8 Imaging, The Factory NYC and Greenroom Event Rentals. Fire signs enjoyed a Spicy Pink Paloma, Water signs enjoyed a Blue Lagoon, Air signs imbibed on Pineapple Prosecco Spritzers while Earth signs enjoyed Ginger Root & Scotch Highballs. Guests also sipped on ultra premium offerings throughout the night.

On the Main Stage, living nature murals graced an incredible LED display by BML Blackbird. The Eleven Band (dressed all in white) played for the crowd with a playlist curated with Chandelier Events to start the evening with vibey Tulum-like tunes and progressed into a full on dance party with indie hits, Coldplay, Lizzo, Robyn and more!

They ended the evening with a knockout rendition of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now—a perfect way to end the night and start the beginning of the next decade! BML Blackbird provided staging, sound and environmental lighting throughout the night.

SALT ROOM: Descending down the stairs at The Altman Building that Chandelier Events branded with intentions (with the help of Suite Paperie and Two Point 8 Imaging), guests entered the Salt Room. There, A State of Energy hosted a crystal bar where astrologists mixed crystals based on readings. Untouchable Events provided tarot reading and collaborated with Chandelier Events and Bombshell Graphics to create a life sized Wheel of Intentions. David Burke Caterers carved wild salmon crudo with pink Himalayan salt. Guests enjoyed gathering in a salt room space complete with 3D printed, illuminated Himalayan salt rocks by Two Point 8 Imaging on pink and bisque furniture by Greenroom.

ZEN DEN: Guests then entered The Zen Den, where they took trippy prism photos with the help of Studio Z Photobooths, danced and vibed to the tunes of That Girl Né while enjoying a beautiful vegan sushi experience from Beyond Sushi NYC and coffee from Cupa Cabana. Gorjana gave live aura readings and a gemstone experience. Maggie Marguerite Studio provided photography and videography.

Fun Fact:

Guests were asked to RSVP with their astrological sign.

The largest turnout of our guests were FIRE signs, known for inspiration, intuition and big passions, also known at times to have larger-than-life personalities, amazing instincts, and masters at seizing opportunities. FIRE signs are simply known to have a good time!
